Early in your Career or Experienced Physio – Full time or Part time (min 24 hours) – The Hands Physio has a tailor-made position for you! The Hands Physio is looking to find the right person to join our team! The right person is someone who will enjoy working in our environment with our patients. Key Requirements

  • A current APHRA physiotherapy
  • Current WWCC
  • Experience in hand therapy is advantageous however not essential
  • Valid Driver’s licence

Career Pathways

Early Career Therapist

New Therapist – Suitable for a new graduate or a physio therapist with 1-2 years’ experience.

  • Interested in learning more about Hand and Upper Limb injuries, both traumatic and chronic.  
  • They are provided with the necessary time to complete our 12-module signature program, while managing approximately 60% caseload of patients. Hold 80% retention rate of patients.  
  • They need to value professional development, contribute to tasks for efficient running of the practice, be an independent learner, show initiative and have good communication skills.

Experienced Therapists

 Minimal Hand and Upper Limb Experience – Suitable for a physiotherapist with three years or more experience.  

  • For the first three months they are provided with the necessary time to complete our 12-module signature program, while managing approximately 70% caseload of patients.  After this time, expectation is to manage independently and efficiently a caseload of approximately 80% time with a patient retention rate of approximately 90%.
  • They need to value professional development, contribute to tasks for efficient running of the practice, be an independent learner, show initiative and have good communication skills.
  • A pathway is developed to become an associate and then a full AHT member over a 5-year period.
  • Therapist takes on a specific task, according to their individual skills, to help the clinic run smoothly (ie back up, sick leave cover, exercises videos, in-service roster, equipment packaging, ordering stock, social media, google reviews etc).
  • Involvement in student supervision.

 

Hand and Upper Limb Experience – AHT associate or full member preferred.

  • Suitable for a physiotherapist with three years or more experience.
  • Expectation is to manage independently and efficiently a caseload of approximately 80% of time with a patient retention rate of approximately 90%.
  • They need to value professional development, contribute to tasks for efficient running of the practice, be an independent learner, show initiative and have good communication skills.
  • A pathway is developed to become an associate and then a full AHT member over a 5-year period, if not already a full member.
  • Therapist takes on a specific task, according to their individual skills, to help the clinic run smoothly (i.e., back up, sick leave cover, exercises videos, in-service roster, equipment packaging, ordering stock, social media, google reviews etc).
  • Involvement in student supervision.

 

Clinic Co-Ordinator

Experienced Physiotherapist

  • Suitable for an experienced physiotherapist with five years or more experience.  
  • Expectation is to manage independently and efficiently a caseload of approximately 60% of time with a patient retention rate of approximately 90%.
  • They need to value professional development, contribute to tasks for efficient running of the practice, be an independent learner, show initiative and have good communication skills.
  • A pathway is developed to become an associate and then a full AHT member over a 5-year period, if not already a full member.
  • Therapist is responsible for the everyday running of the clinic and student supervision. They bring new initiatives to the clinic, develops and support social media platforms to broaden referral base, develops therapists professionally both in therapy and in leadership, manages staff and build staff culture, co-ordinates clinic essentials.
  • General Areas of Responsibility: Patient Services, Staff Development and Management, Financial, Internet Presence, Property, Work Health and Safety, Purchasing, Information Technology and Operational Support.
